Most all top online casinos voluntarily subject themselves to regular audits (usually monthly) by a qualified and reputable third party firm, such as Pricewaterhouse Coopers (PwC). These audits generally focus on two aspects of the online casino's operations: their random number generator and their payout rates. The latter — payout rates — is the subject of this article.
An online casino's payout rates are displayed as a percentage — that being the percentage of incoming wagers that are paid out in winnings. As you can imagine, the higher the payout rates, the better. The top online casinos are often considered so, in part, precisely because they offer the highest payout rates.
A top online casino with the highest payout rate in video poker may not have the best payout rate for slots. Payout rates vary within top online casinos for each individual game. If you're planning on joining a top online casino for a specific game — be it poker, craps, baccarat, video poker, roulette, blackjack, slots, keno, or any other top online casino game — check the top online casino's payout percentages for that specific game.
Top Online Casino Payout Rates Overall: Grand Online Casino (98.42%), Golden Palace Online Casino (98.15%), Sands of the Caribbean (98.11%), USA Casino (98.09%), 32Red Casino (97.97%), Ladbrokes Casino (97.68%), Casino-on-Net (97.63%), InterCasino (97.13%).
Top Online Casino Payouts for Slots: Slotland (98.00%), Casino Las Vegas (97.50%), Golden Palace Online Casino (97.18%), Royal Vegas Online Casino (96.59%), Aztec Riches Casino (96.51%), Yukon Gold Casino (96.31%), Shark Casino (96.49%), Casino Kingdom (96.15%), Ladbrokes Casino (96.03%).
Top Online Casino Payouts for Video Poker: Jackpots in a Flash Casino (99.53%), Lucky Nugget Online Casino (99.11%), Crazy Vegas Casino (99.07%), Lucky Emperor Casino (99.03%), 7 Sultan Casino (99.00%), Royal Vegas Online Casino (98.77%), Swiss Casino (98.70%), Spin Palace (98.60%), RiverBelle Casino (98.59%), Roxy Palace Online Casino (98.58%).
Top Online Casino Payout at Table Games: Casino Kingdom (99.62%), Mummys Gold Casino (99.52%), Aztec Riches Casino (99.22%), 3 Diamond Casino (99.19%), 49er Casino (99.10%), Casino Domain (99.01%), Challenge Casino (98.98%), Crazy Vegas Casino (98.91%), Cherry Casino (98.69%), Captain Cooks (98.57%).
Top online casinos that get their payout rates audited will almost always publish the results of each audit on their website for anyone — member or non-member — to view. They'll even keep archives of all their past audits, also open to public viewing.

Online Casinos are very popular and lot of people are playing and gambling. Online casinos can be divided into three groups based on their interface: web-based casinos, download-based casinos, and more recently live casinos. Some casinos offer multiple interfaces.
Web-based Casinos

Download-based online casinos
Download-based online casinos require the user to have a computer in order to download the online casino software for him to play the games and gamble on the online casino. The online casino software connects directly to the casino service provider without browser support. This type of online casino runs much faster than the typical online web-based casino since all animation and sound programs are already located within the software itself. Table games
This type of game is played on a big table which is covered with a printed felt layout and may contain seating positions for players. There is a dealer located on one side of the table and the players located on the other side of the table. Generally table games are played with dice, cards and other gaming tools.

Video Poker
The video poker machine is one of the most popular gambling machines in existence today. Part poker, and part video game, it's the perfect combination to make it a modern day gambling sensation. Although today's video poker machines are the epitome of our current high tech in gambling, they have existed in simpler form for about two hundred years.
Video poker is of course based on the card game of poker. The video poker machine of today is the result of the game of poker being manifested into different types of games at varying levels of technology through the generations. The game of poker has been played in America since the early 1880s, with the game being referred to as 'Poker' in 1834 by a man name Jonathan Green.
The earliest recorded ancestors of the video poker machine were coin operated machines which used poker cards. These machines came into the scene in the late 1800s, and were manufactured by a company by the name of Sittman and Pitt of Brooklyn. The poker card machines were placed in liquor stores and cigar shops, and shortly worked their way across the U.S.
These machines worked by the player putting a coin into the poker machine and pulling a handle, which spun five drums that held the poker cards. The player would wait for it to stop, while hoping for a winning hand. A winning hand was paid out in cigars or drinks. Sadly, and unbeknownst to the players, the Ten of Spades and the Jack of Hearts were left out of the deck to reduce the chances of winning.
In 1901, Charles Fey made the next big improvement to the poker machine by adding the first 'draw' feature to the already wildly popular machine. Fey's addition to the poker machine allowed the player to actually use their poker skills in the game, as opposed to being left to the mercy of blind luck.
Charles Fey's improvement allowed the player to hold certain drums still after the first spin, while pulling the handle to spin the remaining drums. This in effect was the first 'hold' and 'draw' combination.
Over the following years, people's interest in poker card machines diminished, with only an occasional hiccup of interest every now and again. It wasn't until the late 1970s that the poker machine was reborn into the video poker machine, thus rekindling the love of video poker.
The first of these machines appeared along side of the personal computer. It was this technology which made the video poker machine a reality. With its solid state circuitry, and its television like monitor, this clunky machine would give rise to the poker machines of today. These machines have made their homes in bars, casinos and even online.

Video Poker
Video poker is an amazingly fun pastime that can be easily enjoyed with Internet access. In fact, along with video poker gambling, Internet users can find quite a bit of information about video poker. Such information includes video poker advice and strategies, reviews, tips, and much more. Likewise, the Internet offers up a way for users to play video poker for free or, if a player prefers, they can actually get in on real video poker gambling for cash prizes.
For those individuals seeking out an excellent, free pastime, various websites on the web offer free video poker software applications. Likewise, a number of shareware video poker programs exist in which a user can freely download such programs and pay a nominal fee for their use. Alternatively, for the avid gambler, video poker can be played online while real stakes are in place—players can place bets and win great prizes or cold hard cash.
The payouts for video poker vary from one online casino to another. Thus, a tried and true gambler may benefit from creating an account at several casinos offering video poker, instead of confining their gambling to one site. Conversely, for those who are relatively new to the video poker scene, it is better to try your hand at several free video poker opportunities before you engage in gambling that involves the act of actually betting.
The rules associated with video poker can be easily paralleled to the rules applied at poker gaming tables. The rules that apply to video poker gaming depend ultimately upon the variant of video poker you are playing. Thus, if you are completely familiar with how to play poker, playing video poker is a simple and easy transition.
The important thing to remember when one is playing any type of poker, whether it is video poker or traditional poker, is that no matter what your skill level is, there is always the possibility of losing the game. Poker a is game that possesses numerous strategies, but in the end all players fall prey to an element of luck—thus, when an individual sets up an account at an online casino so that they can engage in video poker for money, they should set up a budget long before they begin playing. Moreover, an individual must remember to stick to the budget once they have set a limit and they shouldn't think that one more hand can change their luck—although this is possible, the odds stand against them.

Isn’t that what gambling is all about. You’re always hopeful that you can get something for nothing, or at least very little. Don’t you remember what your mother told you? You can’t get something for nothing. That’s what my mother told me, and I’ve found out since then that she was absolutely right. I think Wilson Mizner said it best, when he said, ″Gambling: The sure way of getting nothing for something.″ Really, at the end of the day, that’s it…..right?
In the great state of Montana they have these wonderful little machines, known as keno machines. These keno machines are everywhere, and the places that these machines reside are called ″casinos″. I put casinos is quotes because they aren’t casinos like you think of casinos. There are no table game or slot machines, just video poker and keno machines. In any case, I managed to get myself roped in to the dream of winning a couple hundred bucks in a sitting. The next thing I knew I was going back to these machines almost daily. After a couple of months of this I realized that no one really wins. Oh sure, you might win fifty bucks here and there, but over the a period of time your just feeding the machines five dollar bills like they were candy.
I managed to check myself and I don’t even go into the ″casinos″ any more. I’ve met people who honestly almost lost everything they have playing the stupid keno machines. The thing that gets me about this type of gambling is the fact that casinos will advertise on the radio that they have an 85% payback rate. This is the rate because it’s mandated by law. A 85% payback rate sounds wonderful, but when you think about it this simply means that if you put a dollar into the machines it gives eighty five cents back . This is how it works. Just think of it as a reverse ATM. When I started thinking of gambling in these terms, I stopped.
I suppose that’s my goal with this article. To get you to realize that you really can’t win, no matter what other people tell you. As Doc Holiday said in Tombstone, ″The odds are all on the house.″ That and only that is the only reason there is even a place on this planet called Las Vegas. Because the odds are all on the house.

Let’s begin with a little bit of basic knowledge about slot machines.
Modern Slot Machines work on a computer program that randomly selects winning combinations. Winning percentages and odds are set by the manufacturer and are calculated by millions of spins made with computer simulations.
A Slot Machine is a mechanical device employing three, four, five, or more circular reels of varying dimensions. Each of these reels has several symbols, either painted on or attached to it. Most common designs are Cherries, Bars, the Jackpot Symbol, and the Number 7.
Theme Machines are very popular, using red, white, and blue 7’s symbol which trade on American patriotism. To better understand Slot Machine Strategies and how Winning at Slot Machines can be easy, you must first know what kind of Slot Machine you are playing and understand Slot Machine Strategy.
Three Reels vs. Four Reels
Common sense should dictate that it is far easier to line up three matching symbols for a Slot Machine win, than four. To get four of anything is very hard, even on liberal Video Poker. On a Reel Slot Machine, three 7’s can be achieved much more often than four 7’s on a Four-Reel machine. Look for Three Reel machines to play.
Progressive Slots
Progressive Slot Machines are usually Four-Reel machines which offer an open-ended jackpot that increases in value after each pull on every machine within a linked group. The top jackpot can be won only if the maximum number of coins is played and all the winning symbols correctly line up on the pay line. Progressive Slots do not pay off very often, however if you want to play a Progressive Slots, pick one whose Primary and Secondary jackpots are at a high level.
Two-Coin vs. Three-Coin Machines
In a Two-Coin machine, for the top jackpot, or maybe even the top two or three jackpots, the second-coin play will pay considerably more than just double the one-coin jackpot. For example: top jackpot payoff on a Two-Coin machine is three 7’s, paying $1,000, the same three 7’s pays only $400 if you played only one coin. The Three Coin machine will show much higher payoffs for the top jackpots with the three coins played. Three-Coin machines might look more lucrative in their payoff than Two-Coin machines, but don’t be fooled! The player also has to bet more to get the higher payout. Consequently, the player will lose more money. One final piece of advice: whatever slot you play, Two-Coin, Three-Coin, Four-Coin, etc., always play the maximum number of coins. If you don’t, you are not maximizing your winnings.
One Payline vs. Three Paylines
Most Slot Machines show the Center line marked as a payline. To win you must line up a winning combination on that center payline and on that line only. But many machines show Three Paylines: at the top, center, and bottom of the window. This means that a winning combination lined up correctly on any of the three Paylines will pay. The advantage of Three-Paying Machines is they give you more chances of winning and you can get double and triple pays if winning combinations appear on more than one payline together. The disadvantages are that the payoffs are usually very small and the top jackpot is paid only if you line up the proper winning symbols in the correct sequence on the bottom, or third payline. Another disadvantage is that Three-Payline machines are always three-coin machines. Some machines offer five, or even eight paylines but, once again, you have to play five or eight coins per pull. Remember, great advice, play Two-Coin maximum, Three Reel, One Payline Slot Machines.
Double-Up Symbols
An increasing variety of machines now employ so-called Double-Up symbols on their reels. This symbol, usually circular or in the shape of a diamond in a circle, and always bearing the words ″Double″ across its face, can be very valuable to the slot player. The payoff amount is Double and these Double Symbols also substitute forany other symbol. However, there are not many Double Machines available at casinos. The good Double-Up machines are normally found stuck somewhere in the middle of a group of bad machines, or are relegated to some obscure part of the casino.

Video Poker
Video Poker is a popular game that can be played in casinos across the world, or alternatively at home on your PC, through an Internet connection. The rules are very straightforward and involve the player attempting to get the highest combination of cards possible in order to win money. In this respect it is much the same as a normal game of poker, minus the interaction with other players. Of course, techniques used in a physical game of poker, such as bluffing, will be irrelevant here.
The game of Video Poker begins when the player inserts credit (either tokens, tickets or money) into the machine and presses the 'play', 'deal' or 'draw' button. A hand of five cards will then be electronically 'dealt' on the video screen.
The Video Poker machine also has buttons with 'hold' written on them, and players should now choose which cards to hold and which to discard. For the cards the player wishes to keep, the 'hold' buttons should be pressed so that they light up. The player can choose to keep any amount of cards they wish, from all to none.
After the player has chosen which cards he or she wishes to keep, they should press 'deal' or 'draw', at which point any new cards are dealt if desired. The game is now completed, with the Video Poker machine scanning the hand to see if it matches any of the winning hands listed in the payment schedule.
Typically, the minimum winning hand on a Video Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the prize money increasing for each better hand. A common list of winning hands begins with jacks or better, moving on to two pairs, three of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, four of a kinds, straight flushes and finally royal flushes. It goes without saying that the payment schedule can vary from machine to machine, so that experienced players are able to choose the most profitable ones every time.
Once the initial round has finished, the player can either choose to stay on in an attempt to increase their earnings, or press the 'collect' button to retrieve any credits that have been won. Further, some versions of the game allow the player a chance to double their winnings, in which case a further game is played. There are also variations between individual machines, with some virtual decks including wild cards and other varying elements to increase playability.
